Law is an exciting subject, taught in a dynamic way involving the full range of learning activities. A robust legal system is the foundation of a fair society. If you feel strongly about concepts like justice and equality, then this course could be very rewarding for you. You might see yourself as a barrister, a solicitor, legal executive, or legal secretary. Alternatively, you might want to choose law because it is a fascinating course which will help you develop transferable skills such as analysis and problem-solving. Whatever your vision, an A Level in Law is a valuable first step in achieving your ambition.  

Assessment 

Three written examinations: 

  • Paper 1 - Criminal Law 

  • Paper 2 - Civil Law 

  • Paper 3 - Human Rights  

Where Next 

Students may go on to study Law at University and then become Barristers, Court Clerks and Legal Executives. Many students combine Law with business courses at degree level.
