A Level

A Level Art is for students who have a genuine interest in the subject. The course builds on your skills, knowledge and understanding gained at GCSE Level. During your studies you will: 

• Record information, observations, ideas, and insights in a wide range of visual forms 

• Analyse and evaluate images, objects, artefacts, and texts 

• Develop sustained investigations and explore a range of visual materials, processes, and resources 

• Present articulate, personal, coherent, and informed visual responses 

You will also complete a personal investigation that includes a portfolio of practical work and a related study (minimum 1000 words) and also an externally set task.
